This program consists of a pathway program offered by INTO at the International Study Centre for the University of Exeter followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Exeter. International Year One will help you establish the necessary English language abilities, skills and pertinent subject-specific knowledge needed to flourish in your intended academic degree. 

International Year One is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree in the United Kingdom. During the programme students will spend time improving their English language abilities, research skills as well as taking course modules related to your intended field of study. An International Year One program will allow you to complete your intended degree in the same amount of time as direct entry students.

• Opportunities to get involved in amazing projects, such as designing and building the Exeter Formula student car
• A collaborative first year lets you explore other core engineering disciplines alongside Mechanical Engineering
• Undertake work experience as a summer placement or ‘Year in Industry’, or spend a semester studying abroad
