For two decades, the international business undergraduate program at the Darla Moore School of Business has been ranked No. 1 among American universities. The Moore School's Sonoco International Business Department as a whole has received extensive recognition for its academic research and leadership.

The department emphasizes the understanding of cross-border relationships — both within the same organization and across multiple organizations — comprising the modern multinational enterprise, as well as the institutional, financial, sociocultural and sociopolitical contests surrounding the enterprise.
