The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program for international students with good English-language skills. It supplements immersive classes taught in English with just the right amount of support.

Students in the Academic Accelerator receive:

• The right amount of support for their academic and English-speaking needs
• A full year’s worth of college credits
• Access to courses exclusively for international students
• English-language help with words they need to know for their classes
• A mix of classes with international and U.S. students

The University of Utah's innovative curriculum combines health and kinesiology fundamentals along with a signature experience in community based physical activity, fitness and wellness, and/or research. The degree programs are ideal for students who are interested in pursuing careers in areas such as corporate fitness, physical education, community health education, cardiac rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning.

This degree also serves as outstanding preparation for graduate education, including MS and PhD programs, in physical therapy, medicine and physician assistant programs, occupational therapy, public health, and a variety of other programs that train health professionals.
