The Academic Accelerator Program is a two-semester program designed specifically for students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms, but who also want the benefit of English-language and student support that will help them thrive. The program curriculum offers a balance of university-wide and AAP-exclusive courses, with English-language course supplements that equip students with the practical, subject-specific vocabulary and skills that they need to excel in their coursework. Upon completion of the program, students progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits. 

The Department of Poultry Science has been recognized nationally for its production programs, as well as housing the IFT accredited Food Science Program. Students in poultry science will study the nutrition, marketing, management and business principles needed to improve today’s industry. Poultry science students receive a foundation in basic sciences and mathematics as well as an understanding of the food supply needs of the U.S. and other countries.

• Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
• Min GPA: 63.0% Convert grades
• English Proficiency Requirements:
  For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

  • Min TOEFL iBT: 68 (Min Listening: 14.0, Min Reading: 14.0, Min Speaking: 14.0, Min Writing: 14.0)

  • Min IELTS overall: 5.5 (Min Listening: 5.0, Min Reading: 5.0, Min Speaking: 5.0, Min Writing: 5.0)

  • Min PTE overall: 46 (Min Listening: 42, Min Reading: 42, Min Speaking: 42, Min Writing: 42)
