Whether you are hoping to become a professional in the entertainment industry or sport industry, the business-focused curriculum for the B.S. in Sport and Entertainment Management includes accounting, marketing, economics, finance, and specific instruction about management in sport and entertainment. This coursework is designed to expose you to the "business behind the business."

You will learn from amazing professors who will bring the classroom to life with their own industry experiences. In addition to your required curriculum, you will select from a comprehensive list of electives that allows you to tailor your coursework to your unique interests. For example, if you want to focus on the entertainment industry, you may choose to take our Live Entertainment Tour Management (SPTE 303) elective, but if you would prefer to focus on sport, our NCAA Compliance (SPTE 315) elective may be a great fit for you.

All students are required to complete two work experiences — both an internship and a practicum. These experiences will expose you to industry connections, and will allow you to confront the job head-on, preparing you with the confidence you need to step immediately into a leadership role.

A major in sport and entertainment management can prepare you for careers like:

  • Athletic director
  • Athletic administrator
  • College bowl chairperson
  • Entertainment administrator
  • Sport club manager
