Bachelor of Applied Science - Civil Engineering (QE) at Queen's University: Tuition Fee: $54,893.00 CAD / Year (Scholarship Available)

People go about their lives within a physical environment created by civil engineers: houses, schools, office buildings, highways, and bridges, even river and coastal systems and green landfills. Civil engineering students will study how to plan, design, and build these structures and systems – with an approach that respects the environment. To prepare students for working in the real world, this innovative program emphasizes individual learning, teamwork, communication, leadership, and problem solving. Areas of specialization include environmental, structural, geotechnical, and hydrotechnical.

The first year of study in Engineering and Applied Science is based on a common curriculum and serves as an introduction to all of the academic plans offered by the Faculty. The choice of academic plan the student intends to follow in the second and subsequent years is made in February in the Winter Term of the first year.

Note: Students in this program are also eligible for the Queen’s Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP) which provides 2nd or 3rd year students with a 12-16 month work experience. The internships are paid, professionally supervised, career-related positions offering students the opportunity to learn about current advances, practices, and technologies in business and industry.
