ith the university's own theatre and links to professional practitioners in Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon, London and beyond, the undergraduate Drama and Theatre Arts course at the University of Birmingham combines theory and practice.

Whether students are interested in Elizabethan drama, live art, British playwrights or theatre for young audiences, they will have the opportunity to experience a variety of drama and theatre before specialising in their favourite areas. While at the University of Birmingham, the department will helps students develop into confident researchers and performers and to build a diverse and attractive professional profile. Students will study alongside the staff, many of whom continue to practise in the creative industries, collaborating with professional artists from large-scale operas to site specific performances in caravans and igloos! There are also opportunities for student placements with the BBC Drama Village, which is based at the Selly Oak campus.
