Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Geography (L700) at The University of Sheffield: Tuition Fee: £22,520.00 GBP / Year (Scholarship Available)
Program Description
This human geography course offers a critical and creative exploration of the relationship to space, society, politics, culture, and identity. Students will learn how to apply geographical concepts and skills to global challenges such as climate change, poverty and inequality, geopolitical uncertainty, social change, urbanisation, and food insecurity.
This BA will equip students with the specialist, practical, and transferable skills needed for their future careers. Typically, The University of Sheffield's human geography graduates progress to careers in central and local government, NGOs, education, sustainability, business, journalism, and policy.
Integral to this degree is field-based learning, independent research, and training in qualitative, quantitative, and geospatial research methods. The space around us is our living laboratory: students will spend time in the field exploring the human geographies of post-industrial Sheffield and uncovering the impact of human activities such as food production on the stunning natural landscape of the Peak District National Park.
