A liberal arts degree gives students the freedom to focus on the subjects that most interest them. Students will concentrate on a major area of study while maintaining a breadth of learning spanning the arts, humanities and social sciences.
Liberal Studies with Integrated Foundation incorporates an extra year of study to prepare students for their undergraduate degree. Once students have completed the foundation year, they will progress directly on to the three-year BA (Hons) Liberal Studies (International Relations) degree.
The International Relations Major
The International Relations Major will prepare students with the knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
Students will explore both historic and present world affairs from a broad range of perspectives. This interdisciplinary approach will provide insight into the complexities and contradictions of global politics.
Students will examine a wide range of global issues including foreign policy, human rights, diplomacy, war and peace and international political economy.
They will also receive an exclusive discounted membership to Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) and have the opportunity to participate in the Model United Nations.
Elective modules will help to understand the breadth of this discipline and also give a broad skillset.
Options to learn a language and study abroad at one of Regent's international partners will help expand learning and global outlook.
This degree will equip students with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in fields such as diplomacy, international business, economics, history, law and political science.
