The Accounting major (designated as a pre-major) consists of a strong technical foundation in financial accounting. It also involves training in written and oral communication development, teamwork, and critical thinking. The Accounting major prepares students for careers in accounting, auditing, budgeting, computer systems, financial management, and taxation. Courses include:

  • Auditing
  • Personal and Business Tax Planning
  • Not-for-profit and Governmental Accounting
  • Fraud Examination
  • International Taxation
Students complete an internship during their senior year. Graduates find careers in private or public accounting firms, banking, management, or computer information systems.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 77.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 80
    • Min IELTS overall: 6.5
    • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 110
    • Min PTE overall: 60
