This course aims to produce highly competent, work-ready graduates with in-depth discipline knowledge, and the professional and technical skills to work as socially responsible economists in the private and public sectors. Students will become well-versed in subject areas including microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade theory and econometrics.

Students will also engage in a range of authentic, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities with the aim of developing professional practice in the areas of communication, judgement and cross-cultural teamwork. Upon graduation, students will possess a thorough knowledge of business economics, along with a solid background in commerce, and will be well-placed for a bright future in a professional business environment.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 50.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 60 (Min Listening: 12.0, Min Reading: 13.0, Min Speaking: 18.0, Min Writing: 21.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 6 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
    • Min PTE overall: 50 (Min Listening: 50, Min Reading: 50, Min Speaking: 50, Min Writing: 50)
    For conditional admission, you are required to provide English proficiency scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 32
    • Min IELTS overall: 4.5
