Project work – highly valued by employers – is a thread that runs throughout the degree programs in order to create well-rounded chemical engineers. Problems are posed in a ‘real-world’ environment where decisions need to be made when data and information are scarce. There is significant industry input on the third-year design project, which will see students designing a specific and realistic chemical process, championed by an industrial partner.
