Why WISc at Western? This program is designed for students who care about world issues and are excited by big problems like climate change, alternative energy and the global pandemic. Western Integrated Science (WISc) is for problem-solvers who are interested in multiple aspects of science.
This four-year Honours program is interdisciplinary and collaborative. students will work with their classmates to use multiple scientific disciplines to seek solutions to real-world problems. Small classes of no more than 60 students means WISc students get individualized attention from their professors.
WISc can give graduates the competitive edge they're looking for. Students will get practical, hands-on experience in the community when they partner with an organization to help solve their problems. They will take these skills to the workforce and try out a career with an optional internship. They will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in their favourite area of Science through their own independent research project with a faculty member.
NOTE: Please note the English scores listed are minimum requirements. Meeting the minimums does not guarantee admission. Students with low English scores may be admitted to the English BOOST Program, a 9 week training program for conditional admission to their chosen program.
