Midwifery is a rewarding, dynamic and highly skilled profession. This course will equip students with the knowledge, skills and attributes to deliver woman and family centred, safe and effective care, and work alongside interdisciplinary teams in maternity services as a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered midwife.

Students will have the opportunity to learn in state-of-the-art clinical skills and simulation suite and complete practice placements in a range of clinical settings including hospital and community with our internationally-recognised training partners. An international elective placement (optional) is offered in the final year to explore the context of international midwifery care. The course is split equally between tuition in QUB and in clinical practice.

The course is taught by midwifery experts in education and research, clinicians and specialist practitioners who will support students in becoming a caring, compassionate and competent midwife providing high quality care. The inclusion of interdisciplinary learning throughout the three year course will enrich your experience and prepare you for working together in practice.
