The UC Bachelor of Software Engineering is a student's key to developing the skills needed to open industry doors and progress naturally into life long career as a software engineer. This course has been designed to develop and strengthen communication skills and to teach students how to critically analyse and construct systems in order to gain a clear and wholistic understanding of the software engineering spectrum. 

Students will go on to become proficient in a range of areas including design, coding and software specification which will give them a solid foundation in computer science and give students the necessary skills to be able to develop their own cutting-edge creations.

With the ability to tailor the course to focus on a range of areas, including robotics and AI, computer security, network computing, games development, digital forensics and intelligent systems, this course offers the perfect platform from which to explore and discover the career pathway that best suits each student's personal and professional objectives.

This course offers the chance to specialise in Cloud Computing and Internet of Things, Cybersecurity and System Administration, Data Science or Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 50.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 60 (Min Listening: 12.0, Min Reading: 13.0, Min Speaking: 18.0, Min Writing: 21.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 6 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
    • Min PTE overall: 50 (Min Listening: 50, Min Reading: 50, Min Speaking: 50, Min Writing: 50)
    For conditional admission, you are required to provide English proficiency scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 32
    • Min IELTS overall: 4.5
