The Special Teaching Program raises instructors believing that learning and healthy development opportunities are natural rights of each individual and providing special education services by using science-based methods and assistive Technologies and being able to effectively work in coordination with parents and other educators.

In addition to the courses which are mostly applied, our students have the opportunity to do observations and internships both in public schools and private education centers and at the Yeditepe University Development and  Disabled Centre.

Our department’s academic staff specializes in the most common disability areas such as specific learning difficulties, emotional and behavioral disorders, attention and hyperactivity, autism spectrum disorders, language disorders and mental disability.
