The Direct Master’s Accelerator (Direct MAP) is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students who have an advanced level of English-language proficiency and who also want the academic, cultural and professional support to thrive in your graduate program at Adelphi. As a Direct MAP student, you will earn a semester’s worth of credits towards your degree while benefiting from additional professional and research courses tailored to your needs and goals.
The Community Health Promotion program is designed to help you promote good health and prevent disease. You’ll develop the skills needed to be a health education professional who works with the community in a variety of public, private, and professional settings.
Graduates of the M.A. in Community Health Promotion are trained to:
- Assess health status and the need for health education programs.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs.
- Participate in securing funding for programs.
- Coordinate health education activities and resources among agencies.

- Minimum Level of Education Required: 4-Year Bachelor's Degree
- Min GPA: 77.0%

For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
- Min TOEFL iBT: 80 (Min Listening: 18.0, Min Reading: 18.0, Min Speaking: 18.0, Min Writing: 18.0)
- Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
- Min Duolingo English Test Score: 110
- Min PTE overall: 55
