The Direct Master’s Accelerator (Direct MAP) is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students who have an advanced level of English-language proficiency and who also want the academic, cultural and professional support to thrive in your graduate program at Adelphi. As a Direct MAP student, you will earn a semester’s worth of credits towards your degree while benefiting from additional professional and research courses tailored to your needs and goals.

 

Technology moves quickly. As a graduate of this innovative program, you’ll be able to stay fast too. So you can design, critique, and teach the latest learning technology. Whether you want to work in higher education, libraries, schools, or the private sector, you’ll be well prepared thanks to learning:

• Technical skills, such as programming in HTML5 and javascript.
• Teaching concepts, such as instructional design.
• Key foundational knowledge, such as the learning sciences and research methods.

Plus, because Adelphi is so close to the educational technology hub of New York City, your adjunt professors, supervisors, and guest speakers are experienced professionals.

This degree is available only as a non-certification track. Students will not receive a New York State certification upon completion.

  For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

  • Min TOEFL iBT: 80 (Min Listening: 18.0, Min Reading: 18.0, Min Speaking: 18.0, Min Writing: 18.0)

  • Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)

  • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 110

  • Min PTE overall: 55
