The Direct Master’s Accelerator (Direct MAP) is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students who have an advanced level of English-language proficiency and who also want the academic, cultural and professional support to thrive in your graduate program at Adelphi. As a Direct MAP student, you will earn a semester’s worth of credits towards your degree while benefiting from additional professional and research courses tailored to your needs and goals.

 

Students looking to advance their careers in areas such as scientific computing, optimization and statistics will broaden their professional capabilities with a Master’s of Applied Mathematics and Statistics. According to the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and the American Statistical Association, jobs in these fields are at an all-time high and are likely to continue to grow over the next 10 years.

An M.S. in Mathematics enhances opportunities for professional success in fields such as the following:

• Minimum Level of Education Required: 4-Year Bachelor's Degree
• Min GPA: 77.0% Convert grades
• English Proficiency Requirements:
  For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

  • Min TOEFL iBT: 80 (Min Listening: 18.0, Min Reading: 18.0, Min Speaking: 18.0, Min Writing: 18.0)

  • Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)

  • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 110

  • Min PTE overall: 55
