English Language Preparation + 2-Semester Pathway Pre-Masters - Business, Media and Social Sciences - Transfer to Master of Arts in Film Studies at University of Sussex International Study Centre: Tuition Fee: £28,200.00 GBP / Year (Scholarship Available)

The English Language Preparation program is a chance to improve your English language skills before beginning your pathway program. This program will you develop the required language skills to be successful in your intended pathway and degree program. 1-Semester Pathway and 2-Semester Pathway pre-sessional English are available. 1-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 overall (5.0 in all subskills) and 2-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 4.5 Overall (minimum 4.5 in all sub-skills).

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the Pre-Master's programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, a variety of business skills like accounting and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

In the Master of Arts in Film Studies, examine the aesthetic, industrial, cultural and political dimensions of a diverse range of film practices. You’ll develop your skills in research and critical thinking through an exciting range of innovative options. You also research a topic of your choice in the supervised dissertation project.

We offer an advanced introduction to theoretical debates associated with the study of cinema, and contemporary approaches that are reshaping the field.

  • animals and the media
  • audience studies.
