English Language Preparation+2-Semester Pathway Pre-Masters-Business, Media & Social Sciences-Transfer to Master of Arts in Heritage Studies at University of Sussex International Study Centre: Tuition Fee: £28,200.00 GBP / Year (Scholarship Available)

The English Language Preparation program is a chance to improve your English language skills before beginning your pathway program. This program will you develop the required language skills to be successful in your intended pathway and degree program. 1-Semester Pathway and 2-Semester Pathway pre-sessional English are available. 1-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 overall (5.0 in all subskills) and 2-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 4.5 Overall (minimum 4.5 in all sub-skills).

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the Pre-Master's programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, a variety of business skills like accounting and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

The Master of Arts in Heritage Studies will give you the skills you need for a career in the heritage sector. You'll learn to manage cultural artefacts, from buildings and craft practice to industry and migration.
 
Offering an exciting blend of theory, practice and research, you’ll visit heritage sites and archives, explore the histories and theories of heritage and take part in student-led debates and presentations.
 
You’ll learn from experienced curators and heritage professionals, as well as renowned scholars engaging with the global challenges of the heritage sector. You’ll also benefit from our relationships with museums and collections, including:
  • The Keep
  • the V&A
  • Science Museum
  • Tate
  • The National Trust
  • Historic Royal Palaces.
Heritage studies at Sussex is taught as a form of critical practice, preparing you for a career in the cultural heritage sector. You’ll look at a range of materials and topics, including buildings, craft practice, popular culture, language, labour, industry, sound and music, youth, slavery and migration – across a range of global contexts.
