The Extended Accelerator Program is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students a firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Auburn University campus and the Auburn, Alabama, area through its contextual curriculum. Upon completion of the program, students progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
Caring for animals and feeding a growing population. This program in animal sciences will prepare students for a career in veterinary medicine, medicine, equine science, food safety, production and related areas. The program is also excellent preparation for graduate studies in fields such as animal nutrition, biochemistry and molecular biology, microbiology, growth biology, meat science and muscle biology, breeding and genetics, and reproductive biology.
The equine science option will enable students to focus on science and on practical skills required for a successful career in the horse industry. Through the choice of appropriate elective courses, this track can also prepare students to apply to Auburn’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
