Our program prepares you for a satisfying career serving individuals, families and communities. The Bachelor of Social Work curriculum grounds you in a liberal arts education and provides the values, skills, knowledge and competencies necessary for generalist social work practice. As a social work major, you can expect to develop skills in community organizing, diversity, social justice, networking, interviewing, multitasking, case management and grant-writing. You will also be able to gain hands-on experience in the field through service-learning that is integrated into academic coursework.
A major in social work can prepare you for careers in:
- School social work
