- After-school programs
- Center-based programs
- Early-intervention programs
- Family child care
- Family support programs
- Head Start programs
- Public schools (pre-K–grade 2)
The EECIS Program is designed for practitioners who are currently working in the field and are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree, and undergraduates interested in the growing field of early childhood studies. Graduates of the EECIS Program have a working knowledge of the dimensions of typical and atypical child growth and learning (language development, cognition, approaches to learning, social and emotional development, and physical and motor development); skills in assessment, curriculum development and implementation, family support, home and center-based program development and implementation, ethics and professionalism, and proficiency in leadership, administration, and supervision. EECIS graduates are able to create and/or modify environments, curriculum, and individualized and family development plans to ensure access and involvement by all children and their families in educational settings.
