Established in 1968 and accredited by AACSB in 1999, the Asper MBA maintains a tradition of quality instruction and mentorship in business fundamentals, decision-making methods and essential leadership strategies.

Each MBA student has unique goals and each industry and sector demands different expertise from its leaders. The Asper MBA program is designed to meet the market-driven needs of today’s industry professionals. The Asper MBA will equip students with the knowledge, skills and experience they need to achieve their personal and professional goals. The program takes an experiential approach to learning. Students tackle real issues and develop tangible solutions for businesses in Manitoba and across the globe. Through one-on-one mentorship, students gain insight about the industry they’re passionate about. The Executive Mentor Program pairs Asper MBA students with senior level executives.

The MBA program is one of the most versatile in Canada. This 1-2 year post-graduate degree program offers an innovative curriculum structured to ensure that students experience most specialty themes and functional areas through cross-pollinating elective courses. Students can tailor electives to their specific interests, selecting from specialty areas with high market demand such as:
  • international and emerging markets
  • sustainability
  • entrepreneurship and innovation
Functional specialties include:
  • marketing
  • leadership and organizations
  • finance
  • supply chain management
The program also offers a Financial Analyst concentration and a number of interdisciplinary options.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: 3-Year Bachelor's Degree
  • Min GPA: 70.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 100 (Min Listening: 20.0, Min Reading: 20.0, Min Speaking: 20.0, Min Writing: 20.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 7 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
    • Min PTE overall: 65
    Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
