Master of Education - Instructional Leadership - Policy Studies at University of Illinois at Chicago: Tuition: $28,066.00 USD/year (Scholarship Available)

The Educational Policy Studies concentration within the Instructional Leadership MEd program allows students to design their own programs of study or select courses related to three strands of study:

  • Educational Leadership and School Improvement
  • Education Policy and Policy Analysis
  • Social Justice and Education
The Policy Studies program offers students:

  • Opportunities for practicing educators to engage in professional development in the area of educational policy studies
  • An introduction to the field of education policy studies to persons who have recently completed their undergraduate degrees or who are contemplating a change of career
  • Opportunity to explore graduate education and a stepping stone to doctoral studies

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: 4-Year Bachelor's Degree
  • Min GPA: 77.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 80 (Min Listening: 17.0, Min Reading: 19.0, Min Speaking: 20.0, Min Writing: 21.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
    • Min PTE overall: 54 (Min Listening: 47, Min Reading: 51, Min Speaking: 53, Min Writing: 56)
