University of Reading's MSc Molecular Medicine course aims to provide students with a broad overview of the molecular and cellular causes and treatments of human diseases.

It provides practical and theoretical understanding of the most important current topics in molecular medicine, including the biology of cancer, synthetic biology, cardiovascular diseases and stem cells and regenerative medicine. Students will also gain hands-on training in research techniques such as confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, cloning, in situ hybridisation and bioinformatics and they will carry out their own 15-week independent research project.

With a variety of taught modules, students will learn to apply their skills to industry-relevant challenges.
