Undergraduate GSSP - Management (2-Semester Pathway) Transfer to UMASS Boston Bachelor of Science - Management at University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass): Tuition Fee: $34,323.00 USD / Year (Scholarship Available)

The Undergraduate UMass Boston Navitas GSSP is the first year of a bachelor’s degree program at UMass Boston. The Navitas GSSP consists of for-credit coursework and provides an academic and cultural bridge from the high school experience to studying at a university in the United States. When students successfully complete the UMass Boston Navitas GSSP, they will progress directly into the second year of their undergraduate degree program.

The College of Management (CM) at UMass Boston offers a bachelor of science in management (BSM) degree with a full range of management courses and management concentrations that prepare students for specific management responsibilities. The program is built on a solid foundation in the arts and humanities achieved by completing CM's general education requirements.

Coursework and a whole array of student resources help undergraduate students develop the communication, presentation, and analytical skills required by contemporary managers. More specific, professional development is available through various student activities as well as the career services offered by the College of Management. Students in the BSM program are required to participate in the Management Achievement Program (MAP), a co-curricular program designed to prepare students for their role as management professionals.

As part of its program to maintain accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the College of Management faculty has formally adopted learning objectives for each of its degree programs and periodically conducts assessments for each learning objective to identify opportunities for curriculum improvement.

The learning objectives for the bachelor of science in management (BSM) program are for students to:

  • Demonstrate professionalism through oral and written communication skills.
  • Develop critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate sound ethical reasoning skills.
  • Integrate understanding of issues concerning diversity and globalization in business management.
