Why Oregon State University - Corvallis

  • Campus Life: Corvallis is ranked as one the best, smartest, greenest and safest towns in the US. Moreover, its relaxed pace of life make it a perfect study destination for international students. Portland, Oregon's biggest city, is just an hour and a half away by car. Bend is known for its scenic setting and year-round outdoor activities, but it's also the most populated city in central Oregon. That lets you combine the best of city living with outdoor adventure.
  • Facilities: As part of INTO OSU, students will have full access to all of the facilities and resources on campus. Hungry? They can use their meal plan in any of the 30+ different cafés and restaurants on campus. Need to unwind? Students can exercise in the campus gym, swim in the 23-meter pool or climb the 13-meter climbing wall. They'll find a lot of resources to help them with their studies. The library is open 24 hours during the week and tutors are available to help them with their various assignments in the Center for Academic Support. The OSU campus has everything to make the most of their experience.
  • Culture: Ranked as one of the smartest towns in the US, Corvallis residents love culture. Artistically inclined? Students can visit the Arts Center featuring local and regional artists. Interested in history? Visit the Benton County Historical Museum to learn about the history of Corvallis. Love performances? The Majestic Theater or Whiteside Theater located downtown Corvallis regularly host concerts and shows.
  • Research: OSU is one of only two universities in the US to have Land, Sea, Space and Sun Grant designations. Thus, OSU is involved with world-changing research in all four areas. With seven cultural centers representing different nationalities, OSU allows students to be themselves, explore other cultures and prepare for their global career. Staff and students work hard to make a positive impact on the world, and by joining this community of researchers students will get an opportunity to change the world.
