SUNY is chartered by the Board of Regents of New York State, which has registered all its degrees and programs and fully approved its professional programs through the State Education Department.

SUNY is also a member of the Council of Graduate Schools in the U.S. and is fully accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

UAlbany offers a variety of dining options for students from on campus dining to personalized meal plans that consider student preferences; 400+ clubs for students to participate in; a Career Center that provides students with resources for their professional development, and an abundance of events and activities for students to enjoy during their downtime. 
  • Academics: UAlbany provides students with the resources and experiences they need to succeed as a student and in their career.   • On Campus Residency: Residence halls and apartments are walking distance from classes, club meetings, dining, bus stops, fitness centers, a state-of-the-rat medical center, events, and more. The living accommodations can include air conditioning, a dishwasher, full sized beds, and a kitchen, amongst many other amenities.
  • Athletics: UAlbany has a number of sports teams for students to join  or cheer for! There are seven Men's team in total--Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Track & Field. There are nine Women's teams--Basketball, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Track & Field, and Volleyball.
