This one-year Honours program provides students with the opportunity to undertake research on a topic of interest. An Honours degree may be used as a gateway to higher research degrees, a research-focused career, or for professions requiring advanced analytical and investigative skills.
This Honours degree will allow students to further develop their knowledge and skills in their field of inquiry, and make students more competitive in the workforce. It is a research training degree that provides training in in-depth enquiry, specialised development of research skills, project management and communicating findings.
Please Note: Students should be advised that entry into the fourth year Honours program is determined by a recommendation from the Honours Coordinator, following the student's application to the University and the School for admission to the Honours year. To qualify for admission to a course leading to an Honours degree a student must meet the Honours program admissions requirements, including, but not limited to maintaining an average of 75% across the major in which the Honours degree will be undertaken and/or a WAM of 75 across the degree as well as a minimum of a Distinction in two subjects at 300 level in the specific major.
