The Bachelor of Arts program is a 3-5 year degree program, depending on whether students choose to complete a general or honours level degree program. Students take general pre-requisite courses in their first year, and either have the option to continue on in the general arts program, or choose a specific field of major in their second year,

Anthropology, Asian Studies, Canadian Studies, Catholic Studies, Central & East European Studies, Classical Studies, Criminology, Economics, English, Film Studies, French, German, Global Political Economy, History, Icelandic, Italian, Labour Studies, Latin American Studies, Linguistics, Medieval and Early Modern Studies, Native Studies and Aboriginal Governance, Philosophy, Political Studies, Psychology, Religion, Russian, Sociology, Spanish, Theatre, Ukrainian, Ukrainian Canadian Heritage Studies, Women & Gender Studies

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 50.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 86 (Min Listening: 20.0, Min Reading: 20.0, Min Speaking: 20.0, Min Writing: 20.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 6.5
    • Min PTE overall: 58
    Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
    For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicants may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant's level of English proficiency.

  • Manitoba International Students Health Plan Fee: $1,032 per year
  • Technology Service Fee: $210 per year
  • U-Pass Fee $210 per year
  • Sport and Recreation Fee: $190 per year
