In today’s global environment, no business remains unaffected by international forces. Some companies are expanding to overseas locations while others are dealing with the entry of international companies in their home locations, and many more companies and communities are affected by the operations of global corporations. The Bachelor of Commerce - International Business program is a 4-year degree program that helps students to understand globalization from an organizational perspective, formulate strategies to conduct business in a global setting, and manage in organizations that are global or affected by global forces.

 

Professional opportunities:

Students specializing in International Business can find professional opportunities in the international divisions that help to generate global opportunities for products and services of large organizations. In addition, International Business majors can find specialized opportunities within functional areas, such as marketing, human resource management, finance, and supply chain management. Finally, opportunities can also be found in research and consulting companies that help organizations to identify and exploit global opportunities.

NOTE: Applications for this program must be submitted to the Bachelor of Commerce program within the application portal for acceptance/admission. Students complete their first year taking the necessary pre-requisite courses to gain admission into the major in second year. 

Admission Requirements

• Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
• Min GPA: 50.0% Convert grades
• English Proficiency Requirements:
  For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

  • Min TOEFL iBT: 86 (Min Listening: 20.0, Min Reading: 20.0, Min Speaking: 20.0, Min Writing: 20.0)

  • Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)

  • Min PTE overall: 58

  Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
