Istinye University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department is a research-oriented engineering department that collaborates with industry to produce new theories and technologies. Our department aims to train electrical and electronic engineers who have a collaborative working culture, are researchers and entrepreneurs, have a good command of current technology issues. Our department started its Education-Training activities in 2018. The education language is 100% English, and educational activities continue. The quota of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been determined as 5 people with full scholarship and 30 people with 50 percent scholarship.
Electrical and Electronics engineering education at İstinye University is quite intense. In the first two years, the basic principles of electrical and electronic engineering are covered. Besides mathematics, analysis and differential equations, our students also learn electrical circuits, quantum physics, electromagnetic systems, electronic circuits and systems. In the last two years, we have focused on specific areas of the department such as medical engineering interface, mobile communications and optics. These two years are courses in digital signal processing, image processing, microprocessors, optics and advanced electronics. In addition, our electrical and electronics engineering, computer engineering and software engineering departments work closely with each other. Thus, courses that cover the common topics of these three fields are also given. These lessons are Python C, MATLAB and Mathematica include programming, machine intelligence, integrated computer systems and microprocessors. Our students can participate in scientific studies and projects from the first year. It is obligatory to use interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches in graduation projects and laboratory practices.
