The Bachelor of Recreation Management and Community Development is a four-year degree program (including U1) that combines a strong theoretical framework with practical experiences designed to provide knowledge in the areas of community development, sport and event management, sustainable tourism and environmental management, economic growth, as well as social growth and cultural development. There is an ongoing need for trained recreation professionals who understand the value and benefits of recreation and leisure, and who are prepared to make a difference in their community.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 50.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 86 (Min Listening: 20.0, Min Reading: 20.0, Min Speaking: 20.0, Min Writing: 20.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
    • Min PTE overall: 58
    Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
