The Applied Mathematics major focuses on applying math to real-life scenarios and industries. Students learn how to use mathematical concepts for problem-solving and decision making in a variety of environments. Courses include:

  • Patterns, Relationships, and Number Concepts
  • Linear Algebra
  • Complex Variables
  • Data and Chance
Graduates have the foundation for a broad range of positions in business, industry, government, and education. Almost every branch of the Federal Government employs Mathematics majors. Many graduates also continue their studies through graduate, law, or medical school.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 77.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 80
    • Min IELTS overall: 6.5
    • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 110
    • Min PTE overall: 60
