Students will graduate understanding how accounting affects all areas of business, and they will know how to communicate effectively—a highly coveted skill in the marketplace.
The faculty are CPA professionals with real-world experience. They will help students connect what they are learning to how they will use that knowledge in the workplace.
Students will begin with the College of Business core courses, which provide a grounding in such areas as business systems, operations, strategy and marketing.
Then students will dive into financial accounting, cost managerial accounting, auditing, accounting information systems, taxation and more. Students may also choose an accounting internship.
Students will gain problem-solving techniques and communication skills, while learning to identify ethical issues and evaluate alternative courses of action.
The College of business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, known as AACSB International, something fewer than 4.7% of business schools worldwide can say.
