Study business economics at UWF and prepare for a successful career in a complex and rapidly changing global economy. Students will get a solid foundation in how markets function and hands-on experience in managerial decision-making.

The B.S.B.A. in Business Economics program focuses on economics as it applies to business and government organizations.

UWF provides students with a comprehensive view of the area of economics in business, training them to apply a set of analytical tools to understand the interrelations between the economy and the business environment under different market conditions.

This major provides outstanding preparation for the Master of Business Administration degree, law school or graduate study in economics.

Students will actively participate in small projects, such as data analysis and forecasting, gaining hands-on experience in managerial decision-making. Specific topics include health care, crime, finance, production, international trade, labor, taxation, politics, the environment, pricing strategies, regulation and deregulation, data analysis and forecasting.

UWF provides numerous internship opportunities, which offer real-world application of student's classroom learning. They will develop the technical and analytical skills needed for policy-oriented decisions in local and global markets.

The College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, known as AACSB International, something fewer than 4.7% of business schools worldwide can say.

This specialization prepares students for a broad range of career positions in economics or further graduate-level study in related disciplines. It offers a great deal of flexibility in the types of electives students take, allowing them to earn a minor in virtually any field in which they could pursue a career that applies their business and economics knowledge.
