If you have the academic ability to apply directly to your degree program and you do not need additional English support, the Direct Master’s Accelerator Program (Direct MAP) is the ideal route of entry into University of South Carolina. It is designed to meet the needs of the highest-achieving, bilingual students.
 Through Direct MAP, you will be fully enrolled in your degree-course schedule alongside your fellow domestic students. Students continue into their second semester with 9 degree credits.

As a Direct Master's Accelerator student at the University of the South Carolina, you will:

Biomedical engineering combines the innovative skills of engineering with medical and biological sciences to improve healthcare – from diagnostics to treatment. Students learn how to apply engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology to progress healthcare around the world.

Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering is a 30 semester-hour M.E. degree program offers intensive, focused training in the professional practice of biomedical engineering. The program is specially designed for students who plan to pursue industrial careers, as a graduate degree could enhance their job application, yield a higher starting salary, and enable rapid promotion within many corporate structures. 

Students have the option of either a Master of Engineering or Master of Science degree. Pursing a Master of Science degree requires completing a thesis.
