If you have the academic ability to apply directly to your degree program and you do not need additional English support, the Direct Master’s Accelerator Program (Direct MAP) is the ideal route of entry into University of South Carolina. It is designed to meet the needs of the highest-achieving, bilingual students.
Through Direct MAP, you will be fully enrolled in your degree-course schedule alongside your fellow domestic students. Students continue into their second semester with 9 degree credits.

The MS in Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurial Engineering is the only graduate program in the State of South Carolina that places a high premium on students with an engineering and science background, blending their technical and business skills in an entrepreneurial way.
This one-year graduate program is a collaboration between the College of Engineering and Computing and the Moore School of Business. The program prepares students in STEM fields with the skills needed to assess not only if a concept is technically viable but how it would impact the corporate bottom line.
The program teaches students about entrepreneurship and start-up practices -- with an eye toward technology development, marketplace customer discovery and commercialization.
Upon the graduation, students will:
- Understand the fundamentals of technology prototyping, legal protection, market sizing, business plan development, and capital raise.
- Lead entrepreneurial process including ideation, feasibility analysis, and management of organizational resources.
- Apply corporate innovation strategies including the assessment of commercial viability and transformation into business plans.
- Analyze the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, and entrepreneurial contexts.
- Identify alternative career possibilities in the context of innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Communicate effectively across the entire corporate enterprise and contribute in multidisciplinary teams.
