The Master of Engineering (Computer) provides graduate Engineers with discipline-specific knowledge and technical skills in the design and development of hardware and embedded systems. These include sensors, robotics, smartphones, medical equipment and multimedia technology. Students will develop specialist skills needed to lead a process of innovative change within the sector.

The Master of Engineering delivers expert skills and applied competencies required for the professional engineer. It is designed to train and enhance professional practice, advance technical and specialist skills, and provide an opportunity to put theory into practice with applied projects and research. The degree also delivers communication, strategic and project management skills essential to the practising engineer.

Students will complete the core subjects in Professional Communications and Engineering Workplace Practice, Innovation and Design, Advanced Laboratory, and Research Methods.

For the Computer Engineering major Students will study subjects in Advanced Signals and Systems, Image and Video Processing, The Future Internet: Architectures and Communication Protocols plus additional subjects selected from the electives from Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Engineering subjects. Students will also complete an advanced project.

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: 4-Year Bachelor's Degree
  • Min GPA: 60.0% 
  • English Proficiency Requirements:
    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 86 (Min Listening: 17.0, Min Reading: 18.0, Min Speaking: 17.0, Min Writing: 18.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
    • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 115
    • Min PTE overall: 62 (Min Listening: 54, Min Reading: 54, Min Speaking: 54, Min Writing: 54)
    For conditional admission, you are required to provide English proficiency scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 32
    • Min IELTS overall: 4.5 (Min Reading: 4, Min Writing: 4)
    • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 65
