Brunel’s MSc in Advanced Electronic and Electrical Engineering is a broad degree of advanced studies in electronic and electrical engineering.

Students will study in depth and breadth the key areas of electronic and electrical engineering. These include, sensors and instrumentation; control; photonics; power electronics; telecommunications; intelligent systems; medical systems; digital and analogue electronics; and embedded systems.

Access is available to modern technical facilities including computer, electronics, and power and control laboratories where students will work on their lab exercises. The latest industry standard engineering software packages are available for them to use in purpose-built computer laboratories.

During their studies, students will benefit from guest lectures delivered by industry professionals. They will participate in conferences and deliver poster presentations on their research work. This allows students to network and exchange ideas with key engineering and technology experts.

This MSc advanced electronic and electrical engineering degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). This professional engineering institution ensures that graduates' engineering degree meets the academic requirement to qualify as a professional engineer. This accredited MSc degree in advanced electronic and electrical engineering fully meets the educational requirement for progression to Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. It is studied full-time over one year.

    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 79 (Min Listening: 17.0, Min Reading: 18.0, Min Speaking: 20.0, Min Writing: 17.0)
    • Min IELTS overall: 6 (Min Listening: 5.5, Min Reading: 5.5, Min Speaking: 5.5, Min Writing: 5.5)
    • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 100
    • Min PTE overall: 51 (Min Listening: 51, Min Reading: 51, Min Speaking: 51, Min Writing: 51)
    Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
    For conditional admission, you are required to provide English proficiency scores:
    • Min IELTS overall: 4 (Min Listening: 4, Min Reading: 4, Min Speaking: 4, Min Writing: 4)
    • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 60
