NOTE: For conditional admission, students need to enroll in the Academic English Program for University and College Entrance (AEPUCE)/level 5 of the Intensive Academic English (IAEP) offered by the English Language Centre (ELC). For entrance into Level 5 of the IAEP, applicants require:
- 5.5 (Academic) or higher in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
- 5.5 (Academic) or higher in the International English Language Testing System Indicator (IELTS Indicator) for Spring/Summer and Fall 2021 applications
- Minimum 16 in each component and 70 overall on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- 3.5 Listening, 3.5 Reading and 3.5 Writing in the Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees (CanTEST)
- 50 or higher in the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)
- Duolingo English Test (95 and above) for Spring/Summer and Fall 2021 applications

For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
- Min TOEFL iBT: 86 (Min Listening: 20.0, Min Reading: 20.0, Min Speaking: 20.0, Min Writing: 20.0)
- Min IELTS overall: 6.5
- Min PTE overall: 58
Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicants may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant's level of English proficiency.
